How To Delete A Folder; Copying A File

 

Steps in copying and deleting folders

 

(i) How to Delete a Folder

To delete a folder, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the folder you want to delete and click Delete Folder. 
  2. Click Yes to move the folder and its content to the Deleted Items folder. 
  3. When you empty the Deleted Items folder, everything in it — including any folders you’ve deleted — is permanently erased.
  4. Alternatively, select the folder and click ‘Delete’ on your keyboard.

 

(ii) How to Copy a File

To copy a file, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the location where your files are stored. This could be a hard drive, USB, etc. 
  2. Click the name of the file or folder you wish to copy. 
  3. Right-click the highlighted file or folder and click “Copy”.
  4. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + C on your keyboard to copy a file.

 

(iii) Steps in Copying and Deleting Folders

To copy or delete a folder, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the location where your folder is stored. This could be a hard drive, USB, etc. 
  2. Click the name of the folder you wish to copy. 
  3. Right-click the highlighted folder and click “Copy”.

  5. To delete the folder right click on it and choose delete
  6. Alternatively, you can press ‘delete’ on the keyboard to delete it.
